We downloaded the Bumble app just to show you what it looks like
Liv’ED This is an original ED style where we write about our personal experiences of experiencing and reviewing any app / place / website that makes us feel like coming back for more.
This pandemic has definitely come without appeal, and now we drag our helpless souls to every known and unknown digital alley in the quest for pleasure and escape from the contraction.
In a similar quest for a little respite from the discomfort, I very luckily slipped into Doremon’s pocket-sized digital equivalent, the Google Play Store, and found an interesting app called buzz (you can find it in the App Store on Apple devices).
So, after downloading the app, when you open it for the first time, you are asked to sign in either with a cell phone number or with your Facebook ID.
Suppose you signed in with your phone number, then you are prompted to upload a required photo for your profile. You can also add up to 6 photos. Going further, you are invited to fill in a few more details about yourself to complete your profile.
Bumble performs all of these tasks itself if you choose to log in with your Facebook ID (using your photos and data available on Facebook).
Now here’s the part of Bumble that sets it apart from all the other dating apps. At this point, you have three options regarding your intentions to connect with people on this app.
So, interestingly enough, it not only allows you to meet your potential Dated but also helps you to expand your circle of friends through the bff fashion, and connect with like-minded professionals through the biz fashion.

Right before you start exploring the world of Bumble, your preference is asked for the gender of the people you want to meet. However, you can change it later.
Here you see countless profiles of people from different spheres of life. Whatever profile appeals to you to take things to the next level, you can swipe right and left if you just want to skip it and move on.
Some other noteworthy features
Once a man and woman bump into each other in Bumble dating mode, it’s always the women who can make the first move. If it does not initiate a conversation within 24 hours, the connection automatically expires.
“Bumble was designed to counter problematic and archaic heterosexual dating standards”, This is what I read on the Bumble blog about this rule.
But the aforementioned rule does not apply to same-sex matches or connections made in Bumble’s BFF mode. In these cases, either person has 24 hours to initiate the conversation.
You can also add more details about yourself using some advanced filters available on Bumble.
After exploring all the free stuff on Bumble, there comes a time when you want to do something, but the app doesn’t allow you to because that particular feature is on the list of paid features that the app offers.
Paid features include returning to someone you previously swiped to the left, getting more filters to zoom in on exactly what you want, getting 24 hours more before chat expires, gaining knowledge about people who liked your profile, etc.
There are different packages available, and everyone can choose according to their choice.
If you use the app wisely, you can take full advantage of it, and even the free features can be used to download the app. So that was my first hand experience on Bumble. Don’t forget to share yours.
